About Us

Palkar Helpline (PHL) is a Non Profit Organization registered in the USA and India. PHL was formed by a group of like-minded volunteers from various walks of life. The common goal of these volunteers were to uplift the poor and economically weaker children and women in India mainly by providing Education, Healthcare and improving basic infrastructure that would contribute to overall development.

PHL's goal is to change the future of underprivileged and economically weaker people by enlightening the future of their children through education. Many poor families don't have enough income for survival even if both parents work. They tend to generate income from each member of the family for their daily meal. A child of age 0-10 is physically not a source of income and most of them finish their elementary school (still there are some unfortunate ones to drop out from elementary school). Many children between age 11 and 18 are more prone to turn into child laborers to support their families and drop out of the school to work at a shop or do some labor work.

PHL's main goal is to help these children and provide them basic education by taking care of their school expenses. This makes their parents worry-free about their children's education and thus helps prevent them from becoming child laborers.
